Description
Danny Prescott is exactly where he wants to be—a mercenary in his family’s company, Prescott Defense Systems. The troubles of the last year are behind them, and he’s working with his father, Jack, to rebuild the company, but it’s going to be a hard road as money is tight and contracts are small.
Until James “Snowman” Francis reaches out to them, offering a lucrative contract. Francis’ Intergalactic Haulers is under attack by an unknown enemy that is able to predict its every move. Calling itself Phoenix, the enemy has demanded an end to the Resurgens program, or it will destroy the Haulers and its boss.
Snowman wants to hire the PDS, and Danny in particular, to search out and destroy the threat, but Jack has a personal grudge against Snowman, and to make things worse, Jacob Toxtle, who kidnapped Jack and destroyed a third of the PDS, is now working with Snowman.
Convincing his father to accept the contract might be easier than finding a hidden enemy who can seemingly strike and disappear, and Danny will have to work fast if he’s going to defeat the Phoenix before Snowman and the Haulers are destroyed.
