Description
This was no way to treat a war hero!
For Captain Michaelangelo “Miggy” Morrison and the crew of the Cabrillo, being rewarded for duty above and beyond to their nation in the midst of war meant exile to a backwater system at the end of the universe. Now loaned out to a foreign government, their lot in life is to do on-board inspections of vessels entering the Pakrewan system. It is a monotonous, thankless existence.
When news arrives that the war was lost and their world conquered, Miggy and his crew must find a new way to pay for their supplies, their fuel, and even their ship’s berthing spot. With bureaucrats breathing down their neck at the opportunity of taking the one thing they have left—the Cabrillo—they must find work.
Fortunately for Captain Morrison and his crew, trouble always seemed to have a way of finding them… and trouble pays well.
